Leslie Angus Les b. 26 Sept 1904, son of John Angus MacDonald and Christie Annie MacDonald, m. Gertrude Blanche Thomson, b. 21 Sept 1906, d. 15 Sept 1939, bur. North Tryon Presbyterian Cem., daughter ofJoseph Thomson and Sarah Belle Rogerson. See Thomson history.
Les and Blanche bought their house fromJohn Gillis in 1929. Robert Carr of Augustine Cove had built part of the house. The house was moved up the hill to its present site in 1951 when the Trans Canada Highway was built. Les worked at Ives’ Grist Mill for many years. Les and Blanche were members of the North Tryon Presbyterian Church.
Les MacDonald and Blanche Thomson had 8 children:
