Lois Eileen b. 27 Aug 1936, daughter of Les MacDonald and Blanche Thomson, m. 18 Nov 1961 Melbourne Mel Alexander Gass, b. New Haven, 21 Dec 1938, son of Duncan Alexander Gass and Lydia Elizabeth MacDonald.

Lois and Mel live in New Haven where Mel had a plumbing business before he entered politics, first as a federal member, then as leader of the PEI Progressive Conservative Party. Mel now works with Canadian Veteran’s Affairs, Charlottetown.
