The church was nicely decorated for the occasion. The ceremony was per- formed by Rev. Corey _ (Baptist) ofMoncton. The
organist was Lois MacKay, a friend of the bride. The soloist, Mrs. Belle Dixon, a friend of the family. The bride radi- ant in her wedding gown, was given by her father, Max Lefurgey. Her bridal attendent was sister, Helen, and the best man was Frank johnson. Ush- ers were friends, George Dawson and David Clark. The ceremony was most impressive and marked a new use for the church.

Both George and Laura are members of the Canadian Armed Forces and were stationed in Chatham, NB, before being transferred to Summerside. George and Laura converted the Lefurgey home into a two family dwelling in 1985 They lived in one end and Fred and Billy in the other.
George Mitchell and Feme Noonan had 1 child: Melanie Joy b. 22 June 1977.
