Arlene and Jack live in Tryon. Jack is an electronics instructor at Holland College, Charlottetown, but is presently teaching the class at Summerside Centre. Arlene taught elementary classes, later music in public schools, as well as private piano lessons. Arlene served as organist of the Tryon United Church for many years.

Arlene Carr and Jack Sorensen had 4 children: KerryJohn Ange b. 11 May 1967.

Emma Melvine b. 16 June 1902, daughter of William Thomas and Flora MacKinnon, m. 7 May 1955 Rev. George N. Somers, b. 3 Apr 1882, d. 9 Dec 1959, bur. Tryon Peoples Cem., son of Robert Somers and Lavinia Sprague.

Emma Thomas and George Somers had no children. Emma lives in Charlottetown.
