The Stark family emigrated to western Canada from Poland when Harry was 6 weeks old. Joyce attended Mount Allison University, graduating from the PEI Provincial Laboratories School as a techni- cian.She worked in the Regina Provincial Laboratory for many years. Joyce and Harry live in Mossbank, Saskatchewan, where they are wheat farmers. They had no children.
