     4. Any person who being on any square, Abusive ml 
     
     street, lane, thoroughfare. sidewalk, or any {333:8 
     
     wharf, shall openly challenge any person to 
     
     fight, or shall use abusive or provoking langu- 
     
     age, may be forthwith taken into custody by 
     
     any of the city authorities, by day or by night, 
     
    
   
   
    
     and be subject to the penalties of this By—law. 
     
    
   
   
    
     5. Any persons placing any cart, sled, sleigh, Qbammng 
     
     or other unyoked vehicle, or other obstruction $132331“ °' 
     
     of any kind on any of the sidewalks, streets or 
     
     squaresof the city, and who refuse or neglect 
     
     to remove the same when requested so to do by 
     
     any of the city authorities, shall thereby subject 
     
     themselves to the penalties of this By—law, and 
     
     said articles of obstruction may be seized by any 
     
     of the city authorities and placed in any of the 
     
     City Pounds; and if such articles shall not be 
     
     claimed before the expiration of four days, then 
     
     the Pound Keeper shall sell the same in manner 
     
     prescribed by the By-law of this city regulating 
     
     Pounds, and the proceeds of such sale shall be 
     
     held by the Clerk of the City Police Court for. 
     
     the purposes mentioned in said By-law ; the 
     
     Pound Keeper shall be entitled to a Pound fee 
     
     on each and every such article of twenty-five 
     
     cents, to be paid him on delivery or sale. 
     
    
   
   
    
     6. . livery person guxlty of riding, dr1v1ng,.or Obscmmg 
     
     permitting any horse, or beast of burthen, With sidewalk 
     
     or without a vehicle, to stand on any of the side- 
     
     walks, or who shall stand or place any cart, 
     
     truck, sleigh, or vehicle across any sidewalk. 
     
     shall render himself liable to the penalties of
