CAP. VII.' A By-law to Establish the City seal.
BE it enacted by the City Council of the City
of Charlottetown, as follows :—
I. That the common seal of the City, made . of silver. having engraved on it the device of a 3"“ ship, a plough and sheaf of grain, and words “ City of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Incorporated A. D. 1855,” shall be the City Seal.
2. The City Seal shall be kept by the City

3. All deeds and documents where the city is a party, and whereunto a seal is requisite, When affixed shall be authenticated by the city seal and the Mayor and City Clerk shall Sign the same, when authorized by any law, or by any city ordinance, or by direction or resolution of the City Council.
4. The Mayor may affix the seal to any certificate at the request of any person desiring it.
5. Any person requiring the City seal to authenticate documents shall pay to the City the following fees :—
For any document to be used abroad
or out of the City, for the seal. .‘r. $1.50 If to be used only within the city. . 1.00 For the seal to any certificate ...... 0.60
