Every occupier or owner of premises allowing any privy or privy— drawers or boxes to Decay orvault fall 1nto decay, or become offensive, or a nuisance, shall be liable to the penalties of this By- law a 14. Any person guilty of throwing, sweeping or depositing paper dirt or other nuisance, or filghfufinot depositing rubbish, dead animals, or nuisance ofrfie 31:: m any kind on the streets or squares, or on any part of the beach or shore, or wharves, or causing or permitting any offensive matter to run from any manufactory, slaughter-house or butcher shop, dung hill, or privy, into any street or square, shall be liable to the penalties of this By-law.' 15. Every owner or occupier of premises allowing or permitting any dirt, manure, animal or vegetable substance, stagnant water, filth, or refuse matter of any kind, to accumulate in any house, warehouse, cellar, yard, field, or other place in the said city, until it becomes offensive and in an unwholesome condition, shall be liable to the penalties of this By-law.
