or contemplated to be taken for removing or disposing of the blood or other impurities, which said application shall be submitted to the health officer to report upon before any such permission or authority 15 granted

18. In granting any such application, the said Board of Health may impose such restrictions and conditions as may be deemed expedient, in order to prevent such slaughter- house from being a nuisance to the neighborhood or injurious to the health of the inhabitants.

19. When a complaint in writing is made, that any slanghter- house, already erected and in use, has become, or is likely to become a nuisance or injurious to the health of the inhabitants, the same shall be referred to the health officer to report upon and if the said Board of Health, after consideration of such report, shall think fit to make order for the removal, reconstruction or amendment of such slaughter—house, a notice to that effect, stating the terms of the order of the said Board, shall be served upon the owner or person making use of such slaughter-house ; and non-compliance with the terms of such order, within the time to be therein specified, shall subject the party offending to the penalties

To be kept clean

20. There shall be no accumulation of man- ure or filth of any description in or about any slaughter- -house or yards connected therewith within the said city; but all such slaughter- houses and yards shall at all times be kept clean by the respective owners or occupiers thereof; and any person contravening the provisions of this section shall be subject to the penalties of

this By-law.
