21. Should the health officer, or any physi—
cian, certify that any house or part of a house 1IEIousesmbe

or buddmg Within the said City, IS in such awhenordered filthy or unwholesome condition that the health of the inmates or of the neighbors is thereby affected or endangered, or that the lime—washing, cleansing, and purifying of any house or build- ing, or any part thereof. would tend to prevent or check infectious or contagious disease, the said Board of Health may order the occupier or owner of such house, or part thereof, to lime- wash, cleanse and purify the same; and if the occupier or owner do not comply with such order, they, or either of them, shall be subject
to the penalties of this By-law. 22. The said Board of Health, when they
deem it necessary, may require the owner or Lime'wa‘h occupant of every dwelling house or part of a dwelling house or building, to lime-wash and clean their respective portions of such house or building, and the privy connected therewith; and every owner or occupant as aforesaid neglecting or refusing to comply with such requisition, shall be subject to the penalties of this By-law.
23. Persons keeping swine or pigs shall, at . all times, keep their styes and premises, wherein Stigiiig}, ac. such pigs are kept, clean and wholesome; and 3 any person failing so to do shall be subject to the penalties of this By-law. And any person erecting a sty or enclosure for pigs, or placing any manure or offal from the same against or within six feet from the dwelling of their nearest neighbor, shall be subject to the penalties of this By-law.
