minor under the age of sixteen years to be or remain in such room, without the written consent of his parents or guardian, first had and obtained.

(4.) A copy of this By-law shall be required to be kept posted up in every licensed Billiard or Pool Room and Bowling Alley.

9. Any person or persons guilty of an infraction of any of the provisions of this By- law including those contained in section 8 shall upon conviction thereof before the Stipendiary Magistrate of the City of Charlottetown, forfeit and pay, a penalty not exceeding the sum of sixty dollars for each offence, exclusive of costs ; and in default of payment thereof, it shall and may be lawful for'the said Magistrate to commit the offender or offenders to the common jail of the said city for any period not exceeding ninety day s with or without hard labor, until the said penalty and all costs and charges be sooner paid
