CAP. XXX.
A By-law' to suppress Disorderly Houses or Houses ofIl Fame.
BE it enacted by the City Council of the City
of Charlottetown, as follows :—
x. No person shall keep or be an inmate or habitual frequenter of any ‘disorderly house, house of ill fame, or bawdy house within the
the said city.
2. No, person shall knowingly permit or suffer his or her house or any room or part thereof Within the said city to be occupied or used as a disorderly house, house of ill fame, or
bawdy house.
3. No person shall within the said city suffer or permit shouting, fighting, screaming, making of any unusual noise, or any other improper or disorderly conduct in the house or premises occupied by him or her in the said city, calculated to disturb the inhabitants of said city. Nor shall any person make or cause to be made any unusual noise by fighting, screaming, or shouting in the house or premises occupied by him or her within the said city, calculated to disturb the inhabitants of said city.
4. The City Marshall, or any police con- stable of the said city may enter by day or by night into the houses where it is known or suspected that females are kept or harbored for the purposes onrostitution; and to arrest
