CAP. XXXI.

A By—law Relating to the Duties of the City Electrician.

BE it enacted by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Charlottetown, as follows :—

1. The City Council of the City of Charlotte- town may appoint a competent Electrician. who shall be under the direction ofthe City Surveyor, who shall hold office in the same manner and upon the same general terms as other city offi- cials, and who shall be sworn before the Mayor to the faithful performance of his duties before he shall act as City Electrician.

2. The duties of such Electrician shall be:

(a) To obey all all instructions given by the City Council and His Worship the Mayor.

(b) To be the Superintendent of the Fire Alarm System, and all other electric wires and wire systems now or hereafter owned by the city; to have the care of all wires, apparatus, machinery and other property connected there- with, and keep the same at all times in good working order. and to comply with all instruc— tions given by the Fire Board.

(a) To have the care and maintenance ofall wiring in the city property, and all apparatus and fixtures in connection therewith.
