[139] all electric and other metallic wires, posts and connections erected upon, over, or under any street, building or public place; and all wires designed to carry electric light and power current within buildings throughout the city, and shall report all violations of any law, ordinance or regulation relating to electric wires, poles, lamps and fixtures. (e) To cause the Charlottetown Light and Power Company, Limited, or any Company having the contract for lighting the streets of the City of Charlottetown to keep the street lamps clean and in good order for use; to see that they are kept lighted at such times as the convenience of the public requires and the contract provides and to see that all OthCl con— ditions of the lighting contract under his control are comMied with 3. \Vhenever in the Opinion ofsaid Inspec- tor any concluctors or compliances used for the transmitting of electrical energy for any purpose whatever are in an unsafe Or dangerous condition, he is hereby authorized to notify the owners thereof of such defects and to require that the same be forthwith remedied. And where such wires are intended to carry light. heat or power current, he is hereby authorized to cause the current to be shut off if the existing defects are not remedied within a reasonable time 4. Every corporation or person proposing to place wires designed to carry a current for light, heat or power, within a building shall give notice thereof to said Inspector before commencing the work, and shall not connect said wires to Unsafe and dangerous wiring Cdntractor to give notice
