[ 142] shall be guilty of an offence under this By-law.
4. No person shall drive an automobile or motor vehicle upon any public street, highway, road, park, parkway, or driveway in a race or on a bet or wager.
5. No person shall drive an automobile or motor vehicle upon the Victoria Park or Roadway, except between the hours of six a. m. and twelve noon, and every person driving thereon, except as aforesaid, shall be guilty of an offence under
this By-law.
6. No intoxicated person shall drive an automobile or motor vehicle.
7. Every person having control or charge of an automobile or moter vehicle shall, whenever upon any public street or highway and approach- ing any vehicle drawn by horse or horses, or any other horse upon which any person is riding, operate, manage and control such automobile or motor vehicle in such a manner as to exercise every reasonable precaution to prevent the frightening of any such horse or horses, and to insure the safety and protection of any person riding or driving the same, and if when ap- proaching or passing such horse or horses any such horse or horses appear frightened, he shall reduce its speed, and shall not proceed further toward such animal or animals unless such movement be necessary to avoid accident or injury, or until such animal or animals are under the control of the rider or driver, and if he approach any such person riding or driving any animal or horse upon any street or public high— way, he shall also stop any such automobile or
