1903. III EDWARD VII. Cap 17. 13 require the person or persons Seeking to vote to make oath that he has not been bribed to vote for any can- didate or candidates, in the form herewith annexed, that is to say :— “ I, A. B. do swear that I have not received, or had for myself or any person whatsoever, in trust for my use and benefit directly or indirectly, any sum of money, office, place, employment or gift in order to give my vote at this Election. “ So help me God” 29. If any person shall knowingly. swear falsely as to any of the particulars of his alleged piiiilglii'fient qualification, or if he shall knowingly swear falsely f°r in taking any of the oaths pIescribed by this Act, he shall be deemed guilty of wilful and corrupt perjury, and suffer the pains and penalties provided by law in cases of wilful and corrupt perjury. OFFICERS OF CITY. _ 30. As soon as convenient, after the Annual Election, the May or and Members of the said $13,233,555,“ ‘ouncil shall elect, from persons qualified to be 0? Common Councilmen, one or more persons who shall be called Auditor or Auditors of the City of Charlottetown, Whose duties shall be as defined by this Act, and otherwise as required by the By-Laws of the said Corporation, and eVery such Auditor shall continue in oflice until the end of the Civic Year in which he was appointed : Provided always. that no member of the said Council, nor the Clerk, nor the Mayor of the said City shall ‘ be capable of being elected an Auditor as aforesaid. 31. The said officers shall, before assuming the duties of their office, take the same oath as is herein- $21255” before required to be taken by a Councillor.
