force or violence, or ajust apprehension thereof,
in the City of Charlottetown, the Mayor or 555,533,},303,“ presiding Councillor may, by writing under his °f ”1°“ etc hand, appoint any number of Special Constables ' who shall be duly sworn to the faithful discharge
of their duties, to assist in preserving peace and
order, and such Special Constables shall be
under the direction of the Mayor or the presid-
ing Councillor.
115. The appointment of such Special Appointment Constables shall continue in force for a period “New" day“ of seven days, unless sooner revoked by the Mayor or presiding Councillor.
I 16. Any Special Constable appointed as Constable. aforesaid, who having been duly notified, shall §§£“§l£%o““’“’ neglect or refuse to be sworn into office, shall be
liable to a penalty not exceeding sixteen dollars.
117. Any person who shall by force resist any Constable or Spec1al Constable 1n the $613335, fine execution of his duty shall be liable to a$16-00 similar penalty to be recovered on conviction. before the Stipendiary Magistrate, and on non— payment, the offender shall be imprisoned for a
period not exceeding thirty days.
118. The school year of the public schools in the City of Charlottetown shall be the same School year. as the civic year, commencing the first day 332': M mm of January and ending on the 315t day of December in every year, and the Board of School Trustees, shall yearly in the month of January make and send into the City Councilan estimate of the sum which may be needed for
the year beginning the first day of january and
