1904 IV EDWARD VII. Cap. 12. 85 CAP. XII. An Act to amend the City of Charlottetown Incorporation Act, (3 Edward VII., Cap. 17), (Alsented to April: 30th. 1904.) WHEREAS owing to the large number of Electors now residing in Ward Five, it Preamble has been deemed advisable in future Civic Elections to divide said Ward into two Polling Divisions, one for Ward Five East, and one for, Ward Five West. Be it therefore enacted by the Lieutenant Governor and Legislative Assembly of the Province of Prince Edward Island, as follows : I. That hereafter at all Civic Elections in Ward Five two Polling Places shall be opened at . which electors resident therein, or entitled to vote 3‘13§e§?9x‘r§¥a therein, shall poll their votes, one in Ward Five FM East, and one in Ward Five \Nest, the division line being Great George Street and Malpeque Road. The Returning Officers for each of said Polling places shall at the close of the poll add up the number of the votes polled for each and every candidate for Mayor, or Councillor, or Commis- sioner of Sewers and \Nater Supply, but shall not in case of an equality of votes at either of said polls be entitled to give a casting vote or to declare any candidate elected, but shall declare the number of votes cast for each candidate for Mayor, or Councillor, or Commissioner of Sew- ers and \Vater Supply.
