On February 15, 1913, the Bank of New Brunswick amalgamated with the Bank of Nova Scotia and subsequently was known as Scotia Bank. Around the time of the merger, the location of the bank changed to a small building owned by Locksbie Dennis on the comer of Main Street and Willow Avenue. In 1960, a new Scotia Bank was built on the Dennis property on Main Street. Since that time it has been enlarged, modernized and employs many more people. The bank has provided and continues to provide valuable service to the citizens of O’Leary and surrounding area.
