HOTELS BONSHAW INN

In 1856 a license for a 'Country Tavern' was issued to Neil McNevin of Bonshaw (45). This was probably the same business that Duncan Darrach was recorded as running as innkeeper and tavern keeper in 1861 (1). In February 1861 Duncan was also recorded as receiving a license for a Country Tavern the only one in Lot 30 (45). It seems that Duncan Darrach had leased the Inn from Alexander McNevin and the lease had expired in July 1 861, as Alexander McNevin was looking for a new tenant (46).
