RECREATION The use of the river for pleasure has continued until this day, although the number of excursions from Charlottetown is certainly not what it was in the early part of the century. Many people from Charlottetown came by boat to Bonshaw to camp on the flat land where the Equestrian Centre or day use park are today, or to fish at Crosby Mills or to stay over night at the Hotel. In the 1930s a sunny Sunday would find 25 boats at Bonshaw (15). Postcards courtesy of Douglas Murray •80-
