It is a combination of twc.charts of which the western one, No. 1747, comprising surveys made in 1839, yas hist published in 1846 and the eastern one, No. 2034, comprising surveys made m 1847, was first published in 1851. In the text these charts are referred to as "chart 1846," "chart 1850," etc., the figure referring to the year in which the first edition was published. For the more precise location of features and places there is to be con¬ sulted an atlas of the island with maps of each of the 67 lots separately on a scale of 40 or 50 chains to one inch. It is entitled:— Illustrated Historical Atlas of the Province of Prince Edward Island from surveys made'under the direction of C. R. Allen , C.E. J. H. Meacham and Co., publishers, 1880.
