This square of late summers has through the exquisite taste, judgment and incessant watchfulness of Mr. Arthur Newbery, assistant provincial secretary, become the centre of culture and beauty. Its well designed walks and the rare taste displayed in harmonizing the colors of the beautiful flower plots command the admiration of beholders. On the erection of a contemplated fountain this square will com— pare favourably with any public garden in the Dominion. The city is steadily adopting the improvements of the age.
