The scenery along the courses of the north, west, and east rivers is delightful, all presenting ~ objects of interest and admiration. A magnificient drive from Charlottetown, is that to Brackley Point, and calling at the “Sea View” house, kept by Ewen Houston, the tourist can have a magnificient View of the gulf and bay. The scenery is beyond discription. After partaking of the good things provided by the amiable hostess, we start for . “Shaws Hotel,” kept by Mr. Neil Shaw. This house is large, well kept and nicely furnished, and has all the com- forts ofa first class summer resort. After leaving this pleasant spot the next point reached is the “ Grand View Hotel,” about one mile beyond. Mr. Alex. McMillan is the sociable host. This house is situated on the sloping shores of Rustico bay, it is roomy, well lighted and the table fare is second to none on the north‘shore. After a mile’s drive further on the “Island Home” kept by Mr. Neil McCallum, is reached. This house is beautifully situated on the western shores of Covehead Bay, an] everything in con- nection with it is well arranged, and up to the requirement of the times. “Point Pleasant Hotel," Covehead. is the next stopping place, Mr. Angus McMillan is the proprietor. From here we get the most commanding View of the gulf that can be obtained from any point of the shore. This house was among the first of the summer hotels in this section of the country and still maintains its excellent re- putation. A hotel in course of erection by Mr. Francis Mutch, when finished, will be a valuable acquisition to the pleasant hotels that dot this section of the county. Those Who take a holiday at this delightful coast will find safe and pleasant boating, excellent fishing in stream and sea, and every facility for use of the gun. Returning by Union and St. Peter’s Roads, the scenery is of ever varying and rural loveliness. The visitor will be well repaid by a drive to Tea Hill, not many miles from Charlottetown. Here picturesque scenery and magnificient views open before him.
