Browns Creek: Flows N into Valleyfield River at Heatherdale, Lot 59. Meacham 1880 and other maps apply the name to Valley- field River and some people still apply it that way. The origin of the name is unknown.
Browns Creek: Flows SE into Malpeque Bay 1 mi E of Port Hill in Lot 13. Named for Alexander Brown, settler there c1800 (Greenhill 1967). James Brown was also a settler there c1816. On Plan by Fox 1821. Bayfield 1850 Gillies Creek; Meacham 1880 Schooner Cr., with Browns Cr. on Mill Creek 1 mi S, but Meacham shows Hugh Brown on the former.
