Brothers Road: School district in the 18005 in Elliotvale, Lot 66. The road name re— mains. Meacham 1880 notes Patk. Brothers living on it.

Brouillan, Riviere: Present Millers Creek, Lot 35 during the French period. Probably named for St-Ovide de Brouillan, Governor of Ile Royale in early 17005.

Brown’s Creek: PO 1886-1891 in Heather- dale, Lot 59.

Browns Creek: Flows N into Valleyfield River at Heatherdale, Lot 59. Meacham 1880 and other maps apply the name to Valley- field River and some people still apply it that way. The origin of the name is unknown.

Browns Creek: Flows SE into Malpeque Bay 1 mi E of Port Hill in Lot 13. Named for Alexander Brown, settler there c1800 (Greenhill 1967). James Brown was also a settler there c1816. On Plan by Fox 1821. Bayfield 1850 Gillies Creek; Meacham 1880 Schooner Cr., with Browns Cr. on Mill Creek 1 mi S, but Meacham shows Hugh Brown on the former.

Brudenell Point: At junction of Montague and Brudenell Rivers. Named by Samuel Holland 1765 for George Brudene11(1712— 1790) 4th Earl of Cardigan. Plan 1803 Battery Point. Plan 1745 la Rommannie. Site of fishing company headquarters of de Roma from 1732 to 1745.

Buchanan Island: In Orwell Bay 2 mi W of Eldon. Meacham 1880 Little Island and Buchanan Point with Geo., Murdoch, Jno. and Allan Buchanan adjacent owners. Bay- field 1846 and recent maps have Buchanan Point, but A. B. Warburton informed the Geographic Board in 1922 that it was

Buchanan Island, and this is current usage. Cundall 1851 Brehaut Pt.

Bull Creek: PO 1873-1881 at Bayfield, Lot 46.

Bunbury: Village 2 mi E of centre of Char- lottetown in Lot 48. Said to have been given by John Bovyer, settler there c1798, for his ancestral home in Cheshire, En- gland. In use for area c1850. Meacham 1880 has Bimberry and Clifton.

Bungay: 2 mi E of Hunter River in Lot 23. Named by settlers from Bungay, Suffolk,

England 01830. PO 1896-1913. Ells 1884 Little Bingay.
