Canoe Cove: 10 mi SW of Charlottetown in Lot 65. PO 1895—1960.
Canoe Cove: Adjacent to Northumberland Strait and Lot 65. Probably derived from French Anse Canal and probably given because the Indians portaged from there to West River. Named by Holland 1765 Allen Cove for either Admiral John Carter Allen who was present at the capture of Louis— bourg 175 8, or for Lieut. James Allen who was wounded there. Douglas 1925 has this as the correct name, but only Canoe Cove is used and this is shown on Wright 1852 and in Meacham 1880. In Micmac Kwe- dima Wolna, “canoe cove”.
Cantalo Creek: Flows S into Pinette River, Lot 58. On Bayfield 1846. Meacham 1880 does not name it, but shows Nelson Cantelo there. Cummins 1925 also notes Nelson Cantello.

Cape Traverse: 3 mi E of Borden in Lot 28. Bells Point in Cape Traverse was used by the French as the PEI terminus for crossing to the mainland. Holland 1765 and later maps applied the name Cape Traverse to Bells Point. PO Cape Traverse c1 841-1 892 and 1905-1930; also PO Lansdowne Hotel 1888-1905. Cape Traverse Cove and Cape Traverse Landing are adjacent features.
