Glencorradale : 7 mi NE of Souris in Lot 46. About 1840 a resident called Mr. Haney of nearby Souris Line Road was supported by neighbours against oppression by his land¬ lord. The government sent soldiers to quell the disturbances. Meanwhile the rebels hid out east of the road in the area of present Glencorradale . The event recalled the time that Prince Charles hid out at Glen Caradal on Isle of Skye after his defeat at Culloden , so the name Glencorradale was chosen for the new settlement cl846 by settlers from Inverness , Scotland .
