Jacques Cartier Park: Provincial park 4 mi NE of Alberton in Lot 4. Named in honour of Cartier’s voyage along the adjacent shore in 1534.
Jacques River: Flows W into Egmont Bay, Lot 15. Possibly named for an early settler such as Jacques Bernard. Plan 1826 la river St. Jacques with Jaco’s Creek a trib- utary; Bayfield 1847 and Bagster 1861 St. Jacques River; Meacham 1880 Jacques River.
Jardines Point: Extends into Hillsborough Bay, Lot 49. Meacham 1880 shows Wm. Jardine with 150 acres at the point, and Cummins 1925 indicates Shadrach Jardine in possession of it, NTS 11 14/3 1967 Crown Point, :1 name that applies to the whole peninsula. Jardines Bay is on the N side of the point.
Jaspers Grove: On Map 1775 in the area of Brackley Point, Lot 33.

Jenkins Pond: On Blacketts Creek, Lot 56. Cummins 1925 notes John Jenkins there, and Meacham 1880 has a grist mill there.
Jennys Point: Extends into Pownal Bay, Lot 50. Meacham 1880 shows it in possession of Mrs. Jennet Irving.

1880 shows Thos. Ives with grist, saw and shingle mills. Cummins 1925 shows Chas. Ives there. NTS ll L/5 1967 has Sherrens Pond here in error; this name identifies another pond NE of Crapaud.
Jimmy Angus Cove: Adjacent to Winter River, Lot 35. Named for James Angus MacDonald, noted there by Cummins 1925.
Jimmys Point: Extends into Gulf of St. Law- rence, Lot 47. Possibly named for James Campbell who lived there in 1880. Named by Samuel Holland 1765 Silvester Point, possibly for Eusebius Silvester, Solicitor and Clerk of Reports, Board of Trade and Plantations. Douglas 1925 and NTS 11 L/8 1967 Sylvester Point.
Jobs Point: Extends into Pownal Bay, Lot 50. Meacham 1880 shows Job Irving nearby.
Joe League Village: See St. Chrysostome.
Johnny Belinda Pond: On Fortune River at Dingwells Mills, Lot 56. Given 1970 to commemorate the famous play written by Elmer Harris in the 1930s based on the life of a deaf and dumb girl who was raised in this area of PEI. A movie with the same title, and starring Jane Wyman, was pro- duced in 1948.

Johnstons Pond: On Huntley River, Lot 4. Cummins 1925 shows E. W. Johnston there. The current owner is Fred Johnston.
Johnstons River: 6 mi NE of Charlottetown in Lots 35 and 48. PO Johnstons River 1867—1966. The P0 was in Donagh in 1880. Also PO Hillsborough 1890-1892; PO Mount Ryan 1892-1919.
