1851 and Meacham 1880 apply Dirty River in error to this creek. Meacham shows Henry. Woodly, James and Jonathan Lewellyn (sic) beside the creek. Cummins 1925 notes R. 1., Jon., Elmer, Woodly and Earl Llewellyn.

Lobster Point: Extends into Colville Bay, Lot 44. Fred Carleton had a lobster factory there. An old plan shows Lobster Point and Crab Poim to the west.

Lobster Point: Extends into Hillsborough Bay, Lot 49. On Bayfield 1846 and in Meacham 1880. The 60—foot bluff is red sandstone, which may have suggested the shape of a lobster to its namer.

Lockerby’s Cove: Former name of a cove adjacent to Cape Turner, PEI National Park. Named for John Lockerby (1798- c1898) who lived there.

Locke Road: 3 mi NW of O’Leary. Named for John Locke, an early settler. PO 1892- 191 1.

Log Cove: N side of Murray River, Lot 63. On Bayfield 1849.

Longapiece’s Creek: In JHA 1835 for a creek on N side of Souris.

Long Creek: 8 mi SW of Charlottetown in Lot 65. PO 1859—1915.

Long Creek: Flows SE into Mill River, Lot 5. Hill 1821 Maddox RivenBayfield 1851 Long Creek.

Long Creek: Flows N into West River, Lot 65. In Micmac Pitag Tjipotjitj, “long creek” (Pacifique 1934).

Long River: 6 mi NE of Kensington in Lot 20 at Long River. PO 1872-1919.

Lookout, Point: Former name for a point at S end of The Narrows, Lot 12. Probably a Micmac observation post in early times.
