MacAuslands Pond: At Bloomfield, Lot 5. Named for a family of millers. Meaeham 1880 shows Arch McAustin (sic) there; PEI Directory 1889-1890 identifies David McAuslin as a miller; Cummins 1925 shows Fred McCausland there. As well as woollen mills, there are six families with the name MacAusland (and MeAusland) currently living there.

MacCallums Point: Extends into Bedeque Bay, Lot 26. Archibald MacCallum (or McCallum) was a settler c1790. Meaeham 1880 shows Russell and Arch. McCallum with 340 acres there. Bayfield 1849, Meaeham 1880 and NTS 11 L/5 1967 Indian Head; changed 1970, although MacCallums Point was noted in a letter to the Geographic Board in 1924.
