MacHerrons Creek: Flows S into Murray Harbour, Lot 63. Meacham 1880 notes Wm. McHerron there, and Cummins 1925 names John McHerron.
Machons Point: Extends into Murray Har- bour, Lot 64. Named for Daniel Machon, a native of Guernsey. Chart 1849 Merchant Pt; Lake 1863 Guernsey Pt; Meacham 1880 Guernsee 0r Machon Point, with Win. Machon at the point.
MacInnis Point: Extends into Murray Har- bour, 1/2 mi E of Point Pleasant. Douglas 1925 notes families of this name there. Un- named on Meacham 1880 (p. 132) and no one by the name of McInnis shown near the point; but on a small scale map of the island in Meacham p. 24, the name Fair- childs Point appears to identify this point (on p. 132 this name is applied to the whole peninsula). Cummins 1925 does not name the point, but shows Alex. McInnis the adjacent owner of land. Bayfield 1849 Townsend Point. NTS 11 L/2 1967 Fair- child Point, with McInnis Point applied to Clows Point on the east side of Mink River in error.

MacIntyres Creek: Flows N into Southwest River, Lot 21. Meacham 1880 McIntyres Cr., with Duncan McIntyre there. The
name may have been in use as early as 1815.
MacIntyres Creek: Flows N into Savage Har- bour, Lot 37. On Plan 1835. Meacham 1880 does not name it but shows Jno., D., and C. McIntyre resident beside it. Not named on modern maps or charts but well known locally.
MacIvors Point: Extends into Northumber- land Strait, Lot 29. Meacham 1880 shows Michael McKeever there. Neither Cum- mins 1925 nor current references show anyone near there with the names MacIvor or McKeevcr. Named by Samuel Holland 1765 Brockelsbys Head for Richard Brocklesby (1722-1797), physician. Bay- field 1850 Brockelsby Head.
Mackays Point: Extends into Bideford River. Lot 12. Cummins 1925 shows William D. McKay with 150 acres there.
Mackenzie Pond: On Mitchell River, Lot 54. Meacham 1880 shows M. D. McKenzie with a sawmill there, and Cummins I925 identifies Malcolm McKenzie.
MacKeys Pond: In Campbellton, Lot 21. Meacham 1880 shows Henry McKie living
beside it. E. M. MacKey currently lives there.
