Oultons Island: In Cascumpec Bay, Lot 5. Named for Robert Oulton who with Char- les Dalton raised silver foxes there from 1894. Meacham 1880 Savage Island. Known as Cherry Island when Oulton boughtit.
Outard Creek: On Bayfield 1846 for a small creek flowing N, 1 mi E of Glenfinnan River, Lots 35 and 36.

Ox River: Flows W into Egmont Bay, Lot 13. On Wright and Cundall 1874. Meacham 1880 Ox Cr.
Palmer Road: 6 mi SW of Tignish in Lots 1 and 2. Named for two Palmer brothers who were proprietors of Lot 1. Schools were Palmer Road No. I and Palmer Road North. PO Palmer Road 1878—1913; also PO Palmer Road North 1912-1914.
Panmure Head: Extends into Cardigan Bay, Lot 61. Plan 1745 has C. blevile, C. Roma and C. Rossignol. Douglas 1925 has Pan— mure Point; he also notes .Panmure Basin, but gives no location. Panmure Basin is on some references for the E part of St. Marys Bay.
Panmure Island: PO 1907-1916 on Panmure Island, Lot 61.
Panmure Island: Adjacent to Cardigan Bay, Lot 61. Named by Samuel Holland 1765, possibly for William, Earl of Panmure, then a lieutenant general. In Micmac Goeségéngiag, “sand bar” (Pacifique 1934), who states it may also apply to Boughton Island.

Oyster Bed Bridge: 12 mi NW of Charlotte- town in Lot 24. Named for oyster beds on each side of the bridge crossing Wheatley River. Noted in JHA 1840 when local residents petitioned for the bridge. PO 1875-1968. Meacham 1880 shows it near the bridge with two schools, Wheatly and Rustico Cross, 1 mi S at present Cudmores Corner, a part of the Oyster Bed Bridge district. Holland 1765 notes “Oyster Banks” at the site of the present bridge.

Oyster River: Flows NE into Foxley River, Lot 6. On Hill 1821.
Park Corner: 8 mi NE of Kensington in Lots 20 and 21. Named by James Townsend 1775 for Park Corner, Berkshire, England. PO 1835-1913.
Parkdale: Village incorporated 1950 on NE side of Charlottetown. Bayfield 1846 St. Avard; Meacham 1880 St. Awards. The latter was named for Joseph Avard (1761— 1816) who came to PEI from England, 1806 to manage lands at Murray Harbour.
Parkers Point: Extends into Georgetown Harbour, Georgetown Royalty. Meacham 1880 shows Geo. Parker there, and Cum- mins 1925 notes Herb. Parker.

Parnells Grove: On Map 1775 in Lot 31 in the area of present Tyrone.
Parsons Creek: Flows E into Covehead Bay, Lot 34; Said to be named for the Rev. Theophilus DesBrisay (1754-1823), first Protestant clergyman in PEI. He resided at Covehead for about 20 years.
