Penny Point: Extends into Murray Harbour, Lot 64. On Bayfield 1849. Meacham 1880 does not name it, but shows James Penny there; Cummins 1925 shows Robt. Penny there; and currently Curtis and Hedley Penny live there.

Perceval Bay: N side of Egmont Bay, adjacent to Lot 10. Named by Samuel Holland 1765 Percival River for John Percival, 2nd Earl of Egmont (01710-1770), then First

Petersham Cove: Given by Holland 1765 to present Brackley Bay for William Stan- hope (1719-1779), Viscount Petersham, 2nd Earl of Harrington.

Peters Road: 4 mi NE of Murray River in Lot 63. PO 1867-1914. School district Peters Road East, with Peters Road West at Glenwilliam.

Peters Road: Former school district at Peter- ville, Lot 1.

Peterville: 4 mi W of Tignish in Lot 1. PO 1876—1915. School district was Peters Road. Named for James H. Peters, a Char- lottetown judge who owned land there. First postmaster was Peter Brennan.

place between Monticello and Naufrage, Lot 43.

Phelan Point: Extends into Bedeque Bay on W side of Summerside, Lot 17. Possibly an error for Wellings Point by Bayfield 1849, which has been repeated on charts and maps until it has acquired usage local- ly. John Welling (?-1831) is listed as a settler there 1786; he moved to Shediac, NB, 1795. Cundall 1851 Wellings Point, and Lake 1863 Wellens Point.
