Profitts Point: Extends into Gulf of St. Law- rence, Lot 18. Meacham 1880 shows no
one by that name there, but Cummins 1925 identifies George Profit at the point. Named by Samuel Holland 1765 Cape Aylesbury for the wife of Charles Lennox, Duke of Richmond; her father was Earl of Aylesbury.
Prospect Hill: On Lake 1863 and in Douglas 1925 for a place in Lot 47.
Prowses Pond: On Valleyfield River, Lot 58. Named for Dr. Lemuel E. Prowse, its
developer. NTS 11 L/2 1967 places it 1 mi NW on MacLeods Pond in error.
