Sinnott’s Road: PO 1896—1912 in Green Meadows, Lot 39. Also a school district until c1960. The road in Lot 39 was open- ed in 1859 and named for Peter Sinnott, the first settrer. Meacham 1880 lists Martin, Wm., Dan’l and Clement Sinnottliving on it.

Skye Settlement: Settlement established c1840, 4 mi SW of Hunter River in Lot 30. Later called Bonwell, but now part of Brookvale.
Slemon Park: Residential quarters at CFB Summerside. Named for Air Marshal Charles Roy Slemon (1904- ), Deputy
Chief of NORAD 1957-1964. PO from 1966.
Smelt Brook: In Meacham 1880 for a brook
flowing E into West River at Bonshaw, Lot30.
Smelt Creek: See MaeArthurs Creek.
Smelt River: Flows E into Grand River, Lot 16. In Meacham 1880 and Douglas 1925.
Smith Point: Given by Samuel Holland 1765 for a point at S end of Panmure Beach, Lot 61. Holland served with many of this name such as Colonel Marcus Smith, General Edward Smith and Captain James Smith. The feature is now unnamed.
Smith Road: See St. Louis.
Snake Cove: On Plan 1796 and in Meacham 1880 for a cove adjacent to Lennox Chan- nel, Lot 12. Possibly named for a Micmac Indian, some of whom are listed with this surname in Meacham 1880.
Snug/turn Point: In Meacham 1 880. 1/2 mi S of Wightmans Point, Lot 59, where a ceme- tery is noted. Possibly the name implies bodies were buried very close to shore. NTS 11 L/2 1967 Grave Point, which is notused.
