des Blonds. Wright and Derbage 1793 has Good Wood Brook for East Branch Tryon River. In Micmac 'I'uleripk, meaning un- known (Rand) or Tlaiang, “shirt" (Paci- fique). Holland also named Tryon Cove at the river’s mouth, but it is not in use.

Reuben and 1765 for WIllIam Tryon (1725'1788) Rebecca Tuplin settled there in 1834, and under whom Holland served, and who later William B.
