Mr. \Vright possesses in a marked degree those qualities which raise one in the estimation of the public and he enjoys the respect and good will of all who know him. Frater- nally he is a member of the Masons, Odd Fellows and Foresters.
H. ALLISON ELLIS, a successful and well known druggist of Charlottetown, is a native of Prince Edward Island, having been born at O’Leary on April 22, 1872, and is the son of Robert and Harriet (Raynor) Ellis, the former a native of Bideford, Lot 12, and the latter of St. Eleanor’s, both in Prince Edward Island, while the subject’s paternal grandfather was a native of England. The latter came to America in an early day, 10- cating at Bideford, where he made his home during the remainder of his life.
H. Allison Ellis spent his school days in O’Leary, and afterward became a clerk in his father’s general store, where he re- mained seven years. He then became a clerk in a drug store at O’Leary, where he re— mained three years, when he removed to Kensington, where he remained three years as manager. He then went into business at Montague on his own account, having bought out J. F. McNeil. He continued this business successfully for five years. In the meantime he had bought out the business of the late W. R. Watson, who had been established on Queens street, Charlottetown, since 1843, having a fine location on Queens Square, having also a branch house at Murray River. Later he sold the establishments at Murray River and

Montague, and has since that time given his sole attention to the Charlottetown business. Since locating here he has built up a large and constantly increasing business and carries a fine and complete stock of drugs, chemicals, patent medicines, propri- etary medicines, cigars, fishing supplies, etc. The subject was one of the first to agitate the formation of a pharmaceutical society, the association being organized on June I4, 1905, and is the treasurer of the first board elected. He is a self-made 'man in every sense of the word, having reached his present prosperous condition entirely through his own efforts. He is public spirited and en’ joys the high regard of all who know him.
On July 5, 1899, Mr. Ellis was married to Miss Carrie M. Carruthers, a native of Mill River, Prince Edward Island, and the daughter of C. H. Carruthers, of that place. Their union has been blessed by the birth of two children, Harold S. and Walter G. Fratemally the father is a member of the Knights of Pythias (in which he has held the offices of master of the work and prelate), the Canadian Order of Foresters and the Sons of England.
JAMES WARBURTON, M. D.—A success- ful and well known physician and a leading man in public affairs, Dr. Warburton is fa- vorably known throughout the Island. He is native here, having been born at Wood— brook, Lot 11, on June 30, 1855. He re- ceived his elementary education in the com- mon schools, followed by four years in St. Dunstan’s. He then entered Prince of Wales College, completing the course there in 1874. He matriculated in Windsor College, Nova Scotia, and then went to Edinburgh, Scot- land, and entered the medical department of
