On October 12, 1876, Mr. Haszard was married to Miss Elizabeth Des Brisay, a daughter of the late Lestock P. W. Des Brisay, of the old and honoured family of that name and who resided for many years in New Brunswick, but passed the closing years of his life in. Prince Edward Island. To Mr. and Mrs. Haszard have been born the following children: Frederick Charles Lestock, who is now a physician at Glace Bay, Cape Breton; Louis G., of Toronto, who was admitted to the bar in 1904; and Mary, Hilda, Evelyn, Ethel and Jack, at home.

WILLIAM EMERSON BENTLEY. a leading and well known attorney of Charlottetown, was born at Margate, Prince Edward Island, on October 23. 1872. and is a son of George W. W. and Emma Jane (Dennis) Bentley, both also natives of Margate. His paternal

grandfather, Thomas Bentley. was a native

of York, England. and upon his arrival in Prince Edward Island located at Margate, where he engaged in farming. George W. \V. Bentley followed the pursuit of farming during his early years, but eventually moved to Kensington, where he engaged in mercan- tile business and where he still resides. He served as a member of the Provincial Par- liament for about fifteen years, and was also commissioner of public works and, later, commissioner of crown lands. when Mr. Bentley became a partner with D. C. McLeod, K. C., under the firm name of McLeod & Bentley, and they are now enjoying a large and renumerative client— age, being considered one of the strong and reliable firms of Charlottetown. Mr. Bent- ley is a member of the Law Society of Prince Edward Island. and is a member of the committee on examination of law stu- dents for admission tothe bar.

On June 11, 1902, Mr. Bentley was united in marriage to Miss Florence Alice Earle. who was born in Charlottetown, and is a daughter of Samuel N. Earle.- now of Charlottetown.

DENNIS O’MERA REDDIN, senior mem- ber of the firm of Reddin Brothers, drug- gists, of Charlottetown, was born in this city in January, 1859, and'is a son of D. O. M. and Susan Reddin.

Dennis O. Reddin received his element- ary education in the public schools of Char- lottetown, after which he attended Prince of \Vales College, finishing his education with a four years’ course at St. Dunstan’s College. graduating in November, 1877.
