Thomas Yeo , who owns a finely culti¬ vated and well improved farm in Lot 31, Queens county, was born in Kingston , Prince Edward Island , on October 25, 1854, and is the son of Thomas and Mary (Bor¬ rows) Yeo, the father being a native of Cornwall , England . He was educated in the public schools at Kingston and f< >r many years followed the trade of blacksmithing. Subsequently he bought his present farm, which was largely improved, and has brought it to a high state of cultivation. He has made many permanent and substantial improvements and the place is now consid¬ ered one of the finest farms in this locality. Mr. Yeo married Miss Louisa Moreside , whose family name was formerly Muir- shade, the name having been changed by her grandfather, Daniel Muirshade , at the time of his emigration to Prince Edward Island . Her father, Edward Moreside , was born during this voyage. To the subject and his wife have been born the following children, all of whom are living: Alfred, Emma. William, Maud, Ida. Harold and Eddie. In politics Mr. Yeo is aligned with the Liberal party, while in religion his belief is with the Methodist church. Mr. Yeo is progressive and public spirited in his attitude toward public questions, giving his support to all movements that promise to benefit his fel¬ low citizens and doing always without self- seeking or ostentation what he can to ad¬ vance the general good of the community, and prdmote the comfort and convenience of its people. Alfred Yeo , a well known farmer in Lot 32, Queens county, was born at North River on January 1, 1875, and is the son of Thomas and Louisa (Moreside) Yeo. The mother's family surname was formerly Muirshade , but was changed to Moreside by Daniel Muirshade , the subject's maternal great-grandfather, at the time of his emigra¬ tion to Prince Edward Island . The pater¬ nal grandfather, Thomas Yen . was a native of England and there followed the trade of a mason. Coming to Prince Edward Island he located in Kingston and took up farming, which he followed throughout his life, his death occuring in January, 1905. He was the father of ten children, all of whom reached maturity. His religious membership was with the Methodist church, while in politics he voted with the Liberals. Thomas Yeo was born in Kingston and after receiv¬ ing his education in the public schools fol¬ lowed the trade of a blacksmith for many years, later engaging in agricultural pur¬ suits, which he still follows. His wife, Louisa Moreside , is the daughter of Edward Moreside , who was born during the voyage from England to this Island. They became the parents of the following children, all of whom are living: Alfred, Emma 1 Mrs Tombs , of Boston, Massachusetts ), William (of Kingston ), Maude, Ida, Harold and Eddie. Thomas Yeo is a member of the Methodist church, votes with the Liberal party and belongs to the Orange Lodge , of Kingston . Alfred Yeo received his education in the public schools of Kingstonand at the age of sixteen years went to the state of ¬ ton, locating first at Sultanm, where he found empli ivment in the lumber mills. In 1897 he went to , Alaska , and for a period of three years was fairly successful
