the paternal homestead until 1862, when he removed to Summerside, and entered the employ of an uncle as 'clerk, retaining this employment thirteen ymrs. In 1875 he was appointed station master for the Prince Edward Island Railway' at Summerside, and so satisfactory have been his services that he has been retained continuously in this position to the present time. He possesses good executive ability and is courteous and obliging in his treatment of all patrons of the ofiice, so that he has won the sincere respect of all who know him. On November 30, 1870, Mr. Enman married Miss Annie Muirhead, the eldest daughter of the late Hon. James Muirhead, and to them have been born the following children: James M., who is connected with the Prince Ed— ward Island Railway: Percy N., who is re- ferred to in the following paragraph; Lewis Davis is in the western country: Lawrence is connected with the Bank of Prince Ed- ward Island at Charlottetown: Christiana McLaren; Charles D. is living in Alberta. Canada; Annie Muirhead. Fratemally Mr. Enman is a member of the Masonic order and is held in the highest appreciation by his associates.

Percy N. Enman, who is successfully en— gaged in the drug business at Summerside, was born in this city on February I 3, 1877, and after completing his education entered the drug store of John Muirhead. with whom he remained seven years, or until the latter’s retirement from business in 1902. Mr. Enman then became the owner of the drug store and has since conducted the same under his own name. He carries a full and well selected line of drugs, drug— gists’ sundries, patent and proprietary medi— cines, cigars. tobacco. and other articles usu- ally to be found in a first class and up—to—

date drug store. He has been energetic in his efforts to cater to the public tastes and now enjoys a large and constantly in- creasing patronage. Mr. Enman is a mem- ber of the Prince Edward Island Pharma- ceutical Association, and sustains fraternal relations with the Masons and Sons of Eng- land. He is a man of sterling integrity of character and is well liked throughout the community.

DONALD MCKINNON, a practical and progressive farmer at Southwest. Lot 16, is a grandson of Donald McKinnon, a native of the Isle of Mull, Scotland, who came to Prince Edward Island in 1803 and set- tled at North River, Queens county, where he acquired one hundred and fifty acres of wild land, which he cleared and developed into a good farm. He was the father of three children, Angus, who met his death by drowning at Miramichi, New Brunswick, Mary who became the wife of John Mc- Kinnon, of North River, and Sarah, the wife of John McKinnon, these two gentlemen of the same name being cousins. The first named John McKinnon was a native of Scotland and upon his emigration to Prince Edward Island with his parents, Roderick and Ann (McKinnon )McKinnon. located at North River. John and Mary McKinnon became the parents of the following chil- dren: Donald, Roderick, Neil (who went to Ontario). John. Donald, who located at Center. Lot 16, was born at North River and received his education in the public schools. He has during his active years devoted his main attention to the tilling of the soil. in which he has met with a gratify- ing degree of success. At one time he was the owner of nine hundred acres of land.
