The work is now, with all its imperfections and eticiencies, before the public, and it rests with that ribunal to say whether they will honor the produc- ion with a place upon their book shelves, or doom it o the waste-paper basket. In either case the Author ill be content, knowing that the discerning reader ill give a righteous verdict.
