MANUFACTU RE S. The manufactures of Prince Edward Island are limited but have rapidly developed of late. They consist of butter, cheese, starch and soap factories, tannevies, grist, saw and woollen mills, factories for canning and preserving meat and fish, carriage factories, &c.
