The committee are de?? sirous of still further extending the movement by improving the grounds, so as to have them in keeping with the monument. " God Save the King" brought the interesting ceremonial to a close, after which the large as?? sembly partook of luncheon seat?? ed at the tables, or scattered m groups over the island. The island which is about two* acres in extent, is covered with a growth of light hardwood and spruce. The view from its com?? manding banks is beautifuL and comprehensive, t*ak;ng in George-^ town with its fine harbour, Pan- mure Island, , and homesteads that are a credit to the Province. As the shades of evening came gently stealing over the island, rivers, summer verdured fields*- and waved lapped shore, the com?? pany departed by team, train or boat, voting the outing one of the best of the season*
