These championships were won by a family group Sylvanus

(Syl.) MacAulay, his two daughters, and his son, of Campbell's Cove.

In recognition of his achievement, Syl was given a trip to Holland Marsh Farms, Ontario. He was also honored at a special Rotary luncheon at the Charlottetown Hotel as well as by his friends and neighbors who assembled at his home one evening later. In winning the World Seed Potato Championship at the Royal Winter

Fair, it is believed to be the highest honor ever achieved by Prince Edward Island for any agricultural exhibit.

1950 - Alexis MacLean, East Point won the Reserve Grand Champion— ship at the Atlantic Winter Fair, Amherst, Nova Scotia.

1955 - Anselm MacDonald, Chepstow won the Maritime Championship at the Atlantic Winter Fair.

4 H Club

4 H represents Head, Health, Heart, and Hands. Several members won a trip to the Royal Winter Fair, Toronto, Ontario.

The first Poultry Club coached by Mrs. E. S. Rose, Red Point, had four winning members.

A sewing club was coached by Mrs. Walter Dixon, East Baltic, and two members won the trip to Ontario.
