Page 23 The third and present church building was erected, and dedicated on December 6, 1903 in a more convenient location and of a different type of architecture. A parsonage was erected near it. In 1962 the structure was raised, a new cement foundation and floor were placed under it by Whiteway's carpenters from Murray River and vicinity. By the spring of 1964 the basement was ready for use, with modern kitchen, wash-rooms, choir room, auditorium, new stair— ways, new bapistry, and dividers for Sunday School Classes. In l969 the interior of the building was completely reno— vated by Wilbur Jarvis, Kingsboro, Aubrey MacGregor, East Baltic, and Willie Holland, Elmira. The following ministers were native of this area and now deceased: Rev. Henry A. MacDonald, 1906-1909 Kingsboro Rev. Alexander Ford, Kingsboro Rev. Henry G. Brent Robertson, Red Point South Lake Christian Church In 1840 the first meetings were held in a building near the lake on the same farm on which the present building stands. (Bruce Brothers) A building was erected at South Lake crossroads and dedicated in 1846 by Dr. Knox from Crossroads Lot 48. There was a member— sh;p of 80 by "The Christian", December 1847. A new church was built and this one was dedicated on Cczober 19, 1884. One pastor serves this church and the one at Kingsboro since 1927. Billie "Dick" Dingwell built the church and James Stewart, grand—father of Louis, put on the arrow. The arros is 13 feet in length.
