Dr. John MacLellan
Leo's son, was born in Glencorradale. He practiced for awhile at St. Peters and in the Charlottetown Hospital. He was a Radiologist at Riverside Hospital, Ottawa, in more recent years.
Robert Bruce Stewart
With his wife and family sailed from Scotland to Strath— gartney in 1846. He owned several lots on Prince Edward Island including Lot 47. He lived here, on P.E.I. as landlord collect— ing quit rents from his many tenants until the year 1875 when the Land Purchase Act was passed and he was required to sell either to his tenants or the Provincial Government all his land
except 4000 acres. The homestead at Strathgartney stands on this acreage.
Hon. Lauchlan MacDonald
Son of Donald (Big) and Jessie MacDonald, was born at East Point, P.E.I. in 1844. He was elected to the Legislature Assembly in 1875, in 1876 and again in 1879. He retired when his term was
out. His property is now owned by Renfrew and Stewart Cameron and Joseph Gillis.
Hon. Alexander Robertson, M.P.P.
Was born in 1847, at Kingsboro, P.E.I. and was the son of James Robertson and Mary Jarvis. At an early age he gave promise of a brilliant career. In school he was very bright and a wide reader of history and literature. Alex. was an expert in mathe- matics and many times helped other students with theirs.
He entered the business life in 1884. In 1887 he married Miss Bertha Fraser. He was elected to the Provincial Legislature in 1891 and represented his home constituency for six consecutive
sessions. His salary was $200. a year and increased to $450. when Dan. Charles MacDonald entered politics.
Mr. Robertson was a man of sturdy independence and a hard worker.

Was born in Greenvale. He was in politics for four years.
