Tug—of—War Heavyweights
In 1963 a group of sturdy, young farmers formed a heavy- weight tug—of—war team. They named themselves "The Red Point Farmers". They brought honour to Eastern Kings by winning over Island teams as well as by defeating Nova Scotia teams at the Atlantic Winter Fair. They would have gone to the Royal Winter Fair, Ontario, if facilities for contesting had been available.
Several trophies have been presented to them. The team was made up of the following members:
