HISTORY OF AUGUSTINE COVE WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

The Augustine Cove Women’s Institute was organized on October :7th, 1939 by the general organizer, Miss Mary G. MacDonald.

Through the years nany changes have taken places in our membership. However, we still lave a number of charter members on our roll call namely: Mrs. Edward VIacFadyen, Mrs. Kenneth Cameron, Mrs. Harry MacFarlane, Mrs. Lorne Jarruthers, Mrs. Vernal Webster, Mrs. George Ceretti.

We fondly remember and pay tribute to the memory of eleven (11) four members namely: Mrs. Major Carruthers, Mrs. Elmer Dawson, Hrs.
