Esther passed away in 1971.

Michael Clark, born in 1780, came to Tryon in the last years of tlh eighteenth century. According to some of his descendants he came trots

northern Ireland.

In 17 98 he married Sarah Gamble; the Gamble family first se‘tlE in northern New Brunswick and came to Tryon in 1797. Michael Clal‘ and Sarah Gamble had nine children: John, Thomas, George, Michael, W liam, Charlotte, Barbara, Margaret and Elizabeth. cl

Thomas married Ann Fairbairn and lived for some years on pro} erty now owned by MacDonald Bros. He received title to the land in 185 by a sheriff’s deed from William Schurman, sheriff for Prince COL Ill , The land had been sold for non-payment of taxes.
