Bryce was born December 24, 1927. He owns and operates a In; ' farm operation in Augustine Cove. His wife is the former Annie Sherr . _, The Clark’s also operate a general store in the district. They have t sons and one daughter: Brian, Randy and Constance. A son and daugh‘ . died in infancy. Brian is presently manager of the Carleton Esso Serv‘ Station. He was born September 25, 1948, and is married to Dianne H‘ The couple live in Borden and have a daughter, Kimberley. Randy, tn younger son, was born September 23, 1965. Constance was born Decembr , 7, 1944. After completing public school, she attended the Baptist Bi: 3‘ Training School in Moncton, and later took a secretarial course in Eu U merside. At the age of sixteen after successfuly writing civil sei'v' . exams, she was employed in Ottawa for a time. She married Darrell F in 1967 and they operated a restaurant in Tryon for a few years. Tl .. are now residing in Augustine Cove.

Velda married Harry Ferguson of Hampton. Their family is Wen, . Alan, Wayne and Darrin. Velda was born June 24, 1934.

Ruby, born July 21, 1937 is married to Wilfred Rogers and :l live in Augustine Cove. They have three sons: Kevin, Kenneth and Pie: -

Ray, who was born May 6, 1932, was a painter in partnership «7': his father for many years, until ill health forced him to retire. He :l operated a grocery store in the district until his death on August 16, 1991‘

THE DARBY’S

Ernest Darby worked for M. F. Schurman Co. for thirty-six yearW and when he retired in 1968 he was building superintendent. At that tiIT.q he and his wife, the former Mae Wood, came to Augustine Cove to SJGT their retirement years. They bought the Heber Sherren property :‘rol Gerald Murray, who owned it at the time.

The Darby’s have two sons: Donald and David. Donald and l, ' wife, the former Maryena Currie, and two daughters, Cathy and Kalil {5 live in St. John, New Brunswick. David married Susanne Notting all

they live in Sherwood. They have four daughters: Kathy, Elizabet‘ ~ Jennifer and Joanne.

Colonel Thomas Dawson migrated with his wife and six childl‘é to Prince Edward Island from County Monoghan, Ireland in the year 18,, He acquired six hundred acres of land near Mt. Stewart, calling the 51' , j “Dawson’s Grove”. On his farm at Dawson’s Grove two more childrC g were born, making the number of children in all, eight. Colonel Daw50w was an ardent Methodist lay preacher, and went about this Island on f0‘ ' and horseback, carrying the “Gospel of Good News” to nearly every P3 : of the Island. The hardships he endured in his travels—fording streaflfl and making his way through unbroken forests, shortened his days. .} died at the age of forty-two. He had spent most of his life, before coml to this Island, in the army, and was sick of the cruelities and slaught of war. He was very happy on this peaceful little Island, but he on?
